How you can help
There are various ways for everyone who is willing to help the Foundation , to get involved by becoming a volunteer to give out food, conduct community engagement, and administrative support, contact agencies and sponsors, or give out food and donated items. We also welcome goods and monetary donations and you can contact us via the Contact Us link on the website if you want to help in any way you can and we will be happy to bring you on board. The Foundation gives opportunity to students, interns and community activists who want to give a helping hand.

The Foundation has received numerous donations from private sponsors and also building capacity by partnering with Costco, Trader Joe’s, Ralphs Stores, Goodwill, Los Angeles Food Bank, Benevity Corporate Matching Program, and a few other partners, and over the past year has garnered and received $10,500.00 total cash , credit line and in-kind goods and monetary donations and distributed water, clothes, nonperishable food items and other supplies to the homeless populations throughout Los Angeles County. The Foundation also assisted by providing:

Volunteering and Outreach

The Foundation has accrued more 600 volunteer hours, since its inception,
by helping the community with a team of 10 volunteers and staff including
psychiatric social workers, housing liaisons, community activists and educational
coordinators, by conducting outreach, training, and engagement of the homeless
populations and educating, informing, and guiding the people experiencing
homelessness about their path for recovery, housing stability and independence.
During a recent outreach event, an IFDF team of 6 people including Psychiatric
Social Worker, Counselor, and 2 volunteers, were able to provide direct referrals
and activate relocation assistance of 25 unhoused individuals in the Hollywood,
East Hollywood and Silverlake areas.
All activities and operations within our organization are overseen by a group of well-qualified individuals. Our leaders have ties to the communities we serve, and thus possess the unique ability to connect with our target demographics. In addition, our board of directors is comprised of professional group of talented individuals who are dedicated to committing their time and resources into providing the highest quality programs and services.
